WHY WE’RE HERE
We’ve all experienced The City of San Francisco’s inability to govern effectively in matters such as navigating the homeless epidemic, public safety concerns, developing real solutions for the chronically unhoused and mentally unwell, or having an actionable plan to help the in post Covid financial recovery, which has led us to where we are. Stories of outdated policies and corruption are commonly published by local and national media highlighting the need for change. The feared "Doom Loop" will become a memory of this era with our civic engagement and leadership reorganization.
Public Safety - This should not be a talking point when discussing a city as vibrant and taxed as San Francisco. It’s our right as taxpayers and citizens to demand that we not be afraid to walk down the street for fear of getting robbed, worry about parking and having our vehicles broken into, or knowing that a flash mob of thieves is walking out of a retailer with no recourse. A fully staffed and trained Police Force is not negotiable and our electeds need to understand that.
Quality of life - We believe in candidates and policies that make it easier to live and thrive within the confines of everyday San Francisco. This also includes the homeless and mentally unwell.
The City needs to focus on the most attainable goals, redouble their efforts and make sure that the city is as clean as it is beautiful!
Education - SFUSD should not be in a state where we need to recall School Board Members. Public education needs to be a priority where any child has equal access to a quality education.
Economic Prosperity - The archaic tax structure that The City budgets are based on simply aren’t sustainable. The days of all businesses wanting a downtown San Francisco office address have evolved but the taxation revenue model hasn’t. That creates massive volatility in the year over year budgeting process that citizens feel when programs get cut, or are funded and the monies never see their intended causes because it’s reallocated to cover some other shortfall. There needs to be accountability over the general fund for our sake.
Join us at some of these events, meet some new candidates, donate to worthy ones, and Let’s Take Back Our City!
